Resume of Mission: Photo reconnaissance showed damage to the built up area was .515 sq. miles or 36% of the area.  Twenty-five A/C bombed visually and 92 were by radar.  Flak was heavy, meager and inaccurate.  Six E/A sighted made 1 attack.  No claims.  Five A/C were non-effective.  Six B-29s landed at Iwo Jima.  Average bomb load: 14,984 lbs. Average fuel reserve: 787 gallons.
