was 1.4 sq. mi., or 78% of built-up area.

Medium caliber flak & automatic weapons fire was medium to
moderate, and accurate, with red tracers to 10,000’ at Primary
Target. Two bursts of
possible heavy flak were reported at Primary Target, mostly from
airdrome south of Takamatsu.
One barrage balloon identified over dock area of Primary Target at
5000.’ Other possible
balloons in Primary Target area at 8,000-10,000 feet.
