Resume of Mission:  Photo reconnaissance showed 74% (1.8 sq. mi.) of built-up area of the city had been destroyed.  51 A/C bombed by radar, and 78 visually.  6 A/C were non-effective.  10 E/A sighted made no attacks.  A/A was heavy, AW was meager to moderate, and inaccurate.  3 A/C landed at Iwo Jima.  Average Bomb Load:  15,675 lbs.  Average Fuel Reserve:  762 gallons.
